The Big Idea: High Power, Low Weight

The Kove 800X Pro is a 800cc adventure bike from China that aims to do what the big brands haven't: provide a high-horsepower engine in a chassis that is actually light enough to handle off-road.

1. Performance & Engine

• Surprising Speed: With 95 horsepower, this bike is fast. It uses a 790cc twin-cylinder engine (based on a KTM design) that makes it much punchier than bikes like the Yamaha T7.

• The Weight Factor: While there is some debate on the exact weight (Kove says 181 kg ; it is still 10–15kg lighter than its closest competitors.

• Nimble Handling: Because the weight is carried low, it feels extremely light on its feet, making it easy to flick through corners or navigate tight trails.

2. Off-Road Capabilities

• A "Dirt Monster":  Its a "95 horsepower dirt monster." The lack of weight gives you massive confidence in sand and ruts.

• Suspension: It comes with fully adjustable KYB suspension. It feels "legit" and handles rough terrain better than many stock bikes in this price range.

• Ease of Use: the bike is so light and well-balanced that it is significantly easier to pick up than almost any other twin-cylinder ADV bike.

3. Tech & Comfort

• Vertical Dash: It has a unique, smartphone-style portrait TFT display. It’s easy to read, though it leaves less room for mounting a separate GPS above it.

• Highway Manners: Surprisingly, it has less wind noise and buffeting than more expensive bikes like the KTM 890 or Norden 901.

• Features: You get switchable ABS (you can turn off just the rear), traction control, and a factory steering damper.

4. What’s the Catch?

• Brakes: The brakes are an off-brand and feel "mushy." You have to squeeze the lever hard to get real stopping power.

• Refinement: The bike feels a bit "raw." The engine sounds rattly at idle, and the fit and finish aren't as polished as a Honda or Yamaha.
