These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, rentals, extensions, services, and related transactions provided by Eurodriver P.C. (“Eurodriver”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a reservation, paying a deposit, signing a rental agreement, accepting delivery of a vehicle, or using our services, the renter and any additional driver agree to be bound by these Terms.
If any part of these Terms conflicts with mandatory applicable law, only that part will be limited or removed, and the rest will remain in full force.
1. General
1.1 All rentals are subject to vehicle availability, document approval, payment approval, and final confirmation by Eurodriver.
1.2 Reservations are made by vehicle category, not by exact make, model, engine type, transmission type, colour, or specification, unless Eurodriver has confirmed otherwise in writing.
1.3 If the booked category is unavailable, Eurodriver may provide a similar or higher category vehicle at no extra basic rental charge.
1.4 Eurodriver may refuse, cancel, or terminate a rental before or during the rental period if:
- eligibility requirements are not met,
- documents are invalid or inconsistent,
- payment or deposit authorization fails,
- fraud, abuse, threatening conduct, intoxication, unsafe driving risk, or breach of these Terms is suspected,
- the vehicle would be used unlawfully or contrary to these Terms.
2. Driver Eligibility
2.1 Minimum age and licence requirements
Drivers must hold a valid driving licence accepted in Greece and must satisfy the minimum age and licence-duration rules below.

2.2 Less than 1 year driving experience
Drivers with less than 1 year of valid driving experience may rent only Groups A, A1, B, and B1.
An additional fee of €4 per day applies.
2.3 Special category restrictions
- Group D (Family) and Group G (Mini Van): minimum age 21
- Normal Mini Cooper models: minimum age 22 and minimum licence experience 3 years
- Mini Cooper JCW and SUV categories: minimum age 24 and minimum licence experience 2 years
2.4 International Driving Permit
An International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required where applicable under Greek law or insurer requirements. The renter is solely responsible for presenting all legally required documents.
2.5 Authorized drivers only
Only drivers listed in the rental agreement and approved by Eurodriver may drive the vehicle. Any use by an unauthorized driver is a material breach and results in full liability.
3. Young Driver Surcharge
3.1 A mandatory Young Driver Surcharge applies to all drivers aged 19 to 23 inclusive.
3.2 This charge cannot be waived.
3.3 The surcharge applies regardless of the insurance package selected.

4. Documents Required
At vehicle collection, the renter and each additional driver must present:
- valid driving licence,
- passport or national ID card,
- payment card in the renter’s name when required,
- any additional document reasonably requested by Eurodriver for identity, address, fraud prevention, or insurance compliance.
Failure to provide valid documents may result in cancellation without refund, subject to any mandatory law that cannot be excluded.
5. Booking, Payment, and Reservation Confirmation
5.1 A booking is not binding until confirmed by Eurodriver.
5.2 Eurodriver may require prepayment, partial prepayment, or a booking deposit.
5.3 Rates include only what is expressly listed in the booking confirmation. Any extras, fees, surcharges, insurance upgrades, penalties, fuel differences, cleaning, damage, transport, tolls, fines, or taxes not expressly included remain payable by the renter.
5.4 If a payment is reversed, charged back, disputed without valid basis, or found fraudulent, Eurodriver may recover all related amounts, bank costs, administration costs, legal costs, and any losses permitted by law.
6. Security Deposit / Excess
6.1 A security deposit and/or excess is required in addition to the rental price if an excess amount aplies.
6.2 The deposit secures the renter’s obligations, including but not limited to:
- damage,
- missing fuel,
- excess cleaning,
- smoking or odour removal,
- traffic fines and tolls,
- missing keys, documents, tools, accessories, plates, or equipment,
- towing, recovery, roadside attendance, transport, administration, downtime, and legal costs,
- any other unpaid amount arising from the rental.
6.3 The applicable deposit/excess depends on:
- vehicle group,
- selected insurance package,
- driver age,
- driver experience,
- payment method,
- booking details,
- risk assessment by Eurodriver or its insurer.
6.4 Accepted deposit methods
- card pre-authorization or charge,
- card payment,
- cash only if expressly approved by Eurodriver.
6.5 Deposit release
- Card deposits may take up to 7 working days to be released after the rental ends, depending on banking systems.
- If damage, penalties, pending investigations, or post-rental charges apply, all or part of the deposit may be retained longer.
- Final settlement may take up to 30 days, or longer if waiting for third-party reports, repair invoices, police reports, insurer decisions, or authority notifications.
6.6 Cash deposit policy
If the deposit is paid in cash and no charges apply, it is normally returned at the end of the rental.
If damage or charges apply, Eurodriver may:
- deduct the applicable amount from the cash deposit, or
- require payment by card, keeping or returning the cash accordingly.
6.7 Authorization for post-rental charges
The renter expressly authorizes Eurodriver to charge any unpaid lawful amount connected with the rental to the card used for booking, deposit, or payment, including charges identified after return, provided Eurodriver has a reasonable basis and supporting evidence.
7. What Is Included
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the rental price includes:
- third-party liability insurance is covered up to €1,000,000 for death or bodily injury €1,000,000 for material damage
- VAT and applicable local taxes,
- unlimited mileage,
- basic vehicle orientation at pickup.
- Theft insurance (only for the vehicle)
- Road Assistance (only asphalt road)
- CDW
- Public Liability (PL/PLI)
- Personal accident insurance (PAI) Provides coverage up to:
- €1,000,000 for passengers of the rental vehicle in case of death or bodily injury from accident
- €15,000 for the driver
This does not cover reckless, illegal, intoxicated, or otherwise excluded conduct.
8. Insurance Options
Insurance reduces liability only in the situations expressly covered. No insurance removes liability caused by breach of these Terms, negligence, misuse, prohibited use, or excluded events.

8.2 Premium Full Insurance / SCDW
Premium Full Insurance / Premium Protection SCDW
Premium Full Insurance offers the highest level of cover available for the selected vehicle. Depending on the model, it either fully removes the excess or reduces it to the amount applicable to the vehicle group listed below.

Benefits include:
- lower liability ,stress free
- simpler handling of covered incidents,
- no standard end-of-rental cleaning charge for normal use.
This package does not cover negligence, misuse, breach of these Terms, or excluded events.
8.3 WUG Insurance (Wheels, Underbody & Glass)
Not included in any package. Available at a additional cost of 3€ per day
Available only if specifically offered by Eurodriver and expressly accepted by the Customer.
Covers repair costs only for damage to the wheels/tyres, underbody, and glass/windscreen, subject always to these Terms and Conditions.
WUG Insurance does not reduce or remove the general excess applicable to the rental unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Roadside assistance, towing, transportation, recovery, and call-out costs may still apply and may be charged separately.
WUG Insurance does not cover any damage arising from off-road use, driving on unpaved or unsuitable roads, negligence, misuse, or breach of the rental terms.
8.4 Changes to insurance
Insurance options may be added, changed, or removed before pickup, subject to availability, pricing, underwriting rules, and Eurodriver approval.
9. Insurance Exclusions / Full Liability Cases
The renter is fully liable for the full repair or replacement cost, related expenses, and any loss of use or other recoverable losses if damage or loss results from any of the following:
- driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting ability,
- unauthorized driver,
- off-road use,
- beaches,
- dirt tracks,
- gravel roads,
- sand routes,
- river crossings,
- water or flood exposure,
- non-asphalt roads where driving is prohibited,
- wrong fuel,
- ignoring dashboard warnings or overheating,
- mechanical misuse, including clutch, gearbox, engine, brakes, suspension, underbody, or transmission abuse,
- interior damage, stains, odours, burns, liquids, saltwater, mud, sand, or biological contamination,
- tyre, wheel, rim, hubcap, underbody, or windscreen damage unless specifically covered,
- loss or damage caused after leaving the vehicle unlocked, unsecured, or with keys accessible,
- loss of keys, documents, plate numbers, accessories, or equipment,
- towing or pushing the vehicle without authorization,
- use outside the permitted geographic area,
- intentional, reckless, grossly negligent, or illegal conduct,
- failure to report an accident, theft, fire, warning light, or breakdown immediately.
9.1 Forbidden areas
Driving is prohibited in, to, or through the following areas and similar unsuitable routes:
- Balos
- Psiloritis
- Agiofaraggo
- Lenta Loutra
- Tripiti
- Koudoumas
- Treis Ekklisies
- Kolokitha
- Krotos
This list is indicative and not exhaustive. Eurodriver may designate additional restricted routes at any time for safety or vehicle-protection reasons.
9.2 Off-road penalty
Minimum €60 penalty plus full liability for all resulting damage, recovery, transport, and downtime costs.
9.3 Loss of use
Where permitted by law, Eurodriver may also charge for the period during which the vehicle is unavailable for rental due to damage, cleaning, repair, inspection, transport, or administrative processing.
10. Vehicle Use Restrictions
The vehicle must not be used:
- by unauthorized drivers,
- for off-road driving,
- on roads unsuitable for the vehicle,
- outside Crete without prior written approval,
- on ferries or for island/mainland transfer without prior written approval,
- for racing, time trials, drifting, testing, tuition, competitions, towing, pushing, or carrying hazardous goods,
- for paid transport, delivery, sub-rental, or any commercial use unless expressly agreed,
- for any illegal purpose,
- while overloaded beyond legal or manufacturer limits.
Any breach results in full liability and may result in immediate termination of the rental, repossession, and legal action.
11. Geographic Restriction
The vehicle may be driven only within Crete and only on asphalt roads, unless Eurodriver has given prior written approval for a specific exception.
Removing or attempting to remove the vehicle from Crete without written permission is a material breach resulting in full liability.
12. Vehicle Condition, Inspection, and Return Standard
12.1 The renter must check the vehicle at pickup and sign the check-out report.
12.2 The vehicle is deemed accepted in good order except for damage expressly recorded in writing, photos, or digital inspection records.
12.3 Eurodriver may use time-stamped photos, videos, telematics, warning logs, workshop findings, and inspection reports as evidence of condition and use.
12.4 The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as delivered, allowing for fair wear and tear only.
12.5 Cleaning rules
If the vehicle is returned with excessive dirt, stains, sand, salt, odours, smoke residue, rubbish, or any condition requiring abnormal cleaning, a cleaning fee will apply.
- Standard excessive dirt cleaning: from €50
- Minimum cleaning fee under Basic/CDW or for young drivers where vehicle is not returned clean and ready to rent: €25
- Smoking or vaping inside vehicle: special cleaning / deodorizing charge applies
For the purpose of these Terms, “clean and ready to rent” means reasonable rental-standard cleanliness inside and outside, not showroom condition.
13. Fuel Policy
13.1 The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup, unless a different option was purchased.
13.2 Missing fuel is charged at the market replacement rate plus a €20 refuelling service fee.
13.3 If a full-tank option is purchased, its price depends on the vehicle model and booking terms.
14. Extras and Optional Services
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Baby / booster / infant seat: €2/day
- Additional driver: €2/day
- Full tank option: according to vehicle model / booking
- WUG insurance: €3/day
- Premium Full insurance: Depending on car category/model
- GPS €8/day
- Mobile phone Holder
All extras are subject to availability.
15. Delivery, Collection, and Out-of-Hours Service
15.1 Delivery and collection locations must be agreed in advance.
15.2 One-way rentals are available on request and charged as shown during booking or confirmation.
15.3 Out-of-hours service between 23:00 and 08:00 carries a €25 fee.
15.4 If the renter fails to appear or is materially delayed, Eurodriver is not responsible for waiting beyond a reasonable time.
16. Pickup Delays, No-Show, Late Return, and Rental Extensions
16.1 Late pickup / no-show
If the renter is more than 2 hours late without notice, Eurodriver may treat the booking as a no-show and cancel it without refund.
16.2 Late return
If the vehicle is returned more than 1 hour after the agreed return time, one full extra rental day may be charged, without prejudice to any further losses caused.
16.3 Extensions
Rental extensions are valid only if approved by Eurodriver in writing and fully paid in advance. Continued use without approved extension is unauthorized use.
17. Cancellations, Changes, Early Return, and Refunds
17.1 Free cancellation is allowed up to 48 hours before pickup, with refund minus non-recoverable bank or payment-processing fees.
17.2 Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup are non-refundable.
17.3 No-show bookings are non-refundable.
17.4 Booking changes requested within 48 hours before pickup are not guaranteed and may be refused.
17.5 Early return, partial use, unused days, weather issues, change of travel plans, illness, missed flights, or personal inconvenience do not entitle the renter to a refund unless Eurodriver expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
17.6 Where the booking is for a car rental service on specific dates, any statutory withdrawal rights that do not apply to such reservations under applicable consumer law shall not apply here; however, any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
18. Breakdowns, Damage, Theft, and Accidents
18.1 In any breakdown, accident, damage, fire, theft, attempted theft, warning light, unusual noise, or immobilization, the renter must:
- stop using the vehicle if continued driving may worsen damage,
- contact Eurodriver immediately,
- call the police if there is bodily injury, a dispute, third-party involvement, theft, vandalism, or as otherwise required,
- cooperate fully with Eurodriver, insurer, police, and roadside providers.
18.2 Emergency police number in Greece: 100.
18.3 The renter must not , abandon the vehicle, arrange repairs, or move the vehicle except where necessary for safety or as instructed by authorities or Eurodriver.
18.4 Failure to report promptly or follow procedure results in full liability.
18.5 Replacement vehicle is not guaranteed and is always subject to availability, location, operational conditions, and the cause of the incident.
18.6 No refund is due for downtime caused by accident, damage, misuse, negligence, excluded events, police hold, recovery delays, or events outside Eurodriver’s control.
18.7 The customer may be responsible for transport, accommodation, and onward travel costs unless expressly covered in writing.
18.8 The deposit may be held until the incident is investigated. Any refund due may take up to 20 working days or longer if third-party processes are pending.
19. Roadside Assistance and Recovery
19.1 Basic roadside assistance is available only within the covered service area and only for incidents not excluded by these Terms.
19.2 Roadside attendance, towing, extraction, ferrying, remote recovery, tyre service, key service, battery service, or replacement delivery may be charged to the renter where the incident was caused by fault, misuse, prohibited use, excluded area access, or non-covered event.
19.3 Roadside assistance may not be available in remote, mountainous, beach, dirt-track, or prohibited areas.
20. Traffic Fines, Tolls, Parking, and Violations
20.1 The renter is solely responsible for:
- traffic fines,
- tolls,
- parking charges,
- congestion or access-zone charges,
- wheel clamps, towing, impound fees,
- all penalties arising during the rental period.
20.2 Eurodriver may pay or process such charges and recover:
- the underlying amount,
- administration fees,
- authority handling costs,
- legal or collection costs where applicable.
20.3 Eurodriver may disclose renter and driver details to competent authorities, police, municipalities, toll operators, insurers, recovery companies, and legal advisers where reasonably required.
21. Personal Property
Eurodriver is not responsible for any personal belongings left in, lost from, or transported in the vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
22. Privacy, Security Systems, and Data Processing
Eurodriver processes personal data for reservation management, identity verification, fraud prevention, insurance, accident handling, customer service, legal compliance, debt recovery, and protection of legitimate business interests. Vehicles may be fitted with GPS, telematics, immobilizers, or security systems for safety, theft prevention, fleet management, and incident investigation.
For privacy complaints in Greece, individuals may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, which handles complaints about alleged violations of data protection law.
23. Force Majeure
Eurodriver is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, wildfire, flood, earthquake, strike, ferry or airport disruption, civil disturbance, government action, pandemics, road closures, or supplier failure.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eurodriver is not liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss,
- loss of profit, holiday disappointment, missed travel arrangements, or business interruption,
- delay caused by breakdown, traffic, weather, authority action, or events outside our control,
- unavailability of a replacement vehicle,
- personal property loss.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
25. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any rental agreement are governed by Greek law.
Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Heraklion, Crete, unless mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules require otherwise.
26. Final Provisions
26.1 If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses remain valid.
26.2 Eurodriver may update these Terms for future bookings by publishing the updated version. The version in force at the time of booking or rental will apply, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
26.3 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
26.4 These Terms, together with the booking confirmation, rental agreement, price list, and signed check-in/check-out report, form the entire agreement between the parties.
